About Me

I’ve been an Amateur Radio operator for over 33 years, and an Extra Class for just over half of that.  I came into the hobby the old fashion way by learning Morse Code and working my way up the five classes of licenses. Now the FCC has downsized that to three classes.

When it comes to prepping, I’m still pretty new at it, but I’ve learned much from my father in law and one of my favorite sites http://Prepperrecon.com  Also, if you enjoy fictional Prepper books, Mark Goodwin the owner of this site has some excellent reads, so check out his site or search him out on Amazon for his paperback and eBooks on Kindle.

After a 15 year career in law enforcement and 20 years in the ministry I’m now what I call, “semi-retired” where I work part-time, am available to fill in the pulpit, but I warn you I will not preach fluffy feel-good messages. Most recently have taken on my newest endeavor, writing a fictional book trilogy.

Book One is titled.  The Grey Ham Series Book One – ParaCW – Accusation and Book Two is ParaCW – Justification.  Book Three – Restoration will be released the summer of 2018.

In 2015 I moved to the NW portion of Tennessee to be closer to my in-laws and also get away from a big city 70 miles to the north of where we lived.

We now have some acres out in the boonies, are close to water, with plenty of deer and squirrel and are learning how to prep for that time when “The Junk Hits The Fan.” My way of cleaning up SHFT.

Lastly, I’m married to the love of my life, have one son who is actively serving in the military, have a wonderful daughter in law and three grandsons.

My favorite passage of scripture is Col. 1:28 (NASB) “We proclaim Him, admonishing every man and teaching every man with all wisdom, so that we may present every man complete in Christ.

In other words, without Jesus, you are incomplete.

I love the area we live in, plenty of woods and critters.  What I especially love is if you have a permit, Tennesee is a concealed or open carry state.  This is a picture of me, yep toting a 9mm in my waistband, with our Boston Terrier.

  • Update:  Sady, we had to put our almost 14-year-old Boston Terrier to sleep due to many health issues.  Like many who have had to do this, our hearts are breaking but God through the power of The Holy Spirit meets ALL of our needs and hurts.
